“Come unto Me!” / “Depart from Me!”
(A Message to the Multitude)
(Preached Sunday Evening, March 29, 2020)
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
(Hebrews 9:27)
Introduction
The following is taken directly from thecomingconvergence.com:
“The Coming Convergence [is a ‘must see’ documentary film’ that] was produced by the award winning documentary writer and director Brent Miller Jr. In addition to traditional documentary style elements; presentation of groundbreaking information and interviews from well-known theological experts, The Coming Convergence also pulls you deeper into the reality of an approaching apocalypse as you follow the story of a young girl that is living through the end of days. Her words of warning are a wakeup call to the horrors mankind will soon face. The conclusions of The Coming Convergence explain both how the scenarios described within Revelation are converging before our very eyes and why everything that must come to pass is of man’s choosing.
“[Matthew 24:3 says],
“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. ‘Tell us, when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age.’
“Jesus chastised religious leaders in the first century for not knowing the time of His arrival. Will we make the same mistake today? Christ stated how His second coming would be preceded by global events signifying the end of our age. We may not know the day or the hour, but we can know the season!” (Ingenuity Films, LLC. “Watch the Coming Convergence.” The Coming Convergence – Official Site, 2020, www.thecomingconvergence.com.)
Then on theworldcounts.com we find this list and subsequent summary of facts regarding the impending conclusion of life on Earth, if the Lord Jesus Christ is not returning soon.
“Everything relies on everything else around it. Our planet is alive and interconnected and we are part of that web. The impact of ecosystem destruction are the following:
- Increased flooding due to the erosion of soil and lack of trees
- Rising of the sea levels due to the melting of the glaciers, caused by Global Warming
- Disruption of the food chain when the apex predators become extinct
- Water shortage – we only have a finite supply of fresh drinking water
- Food shortage as the lands become barren and the oceans become fishless
- Loss of biodiversity as whole species of living things disappear due to deforestation
- Pollution will eventually become unmanageable and affect our health.
- Rising temperatures may be too much for all living things on the planet
“This may sound like an exaggeration but we’re well on our way to our own destruction, slowly and surely. … Every aspect of our ecosystem is important – because when one goes, the rest will follow.
“Imagine this scenario… When the global temperature continues to rise, the glaciers will melt. The sea levels will rise and coastal cities will be inundated, killing millions of people. Economies will stop and will be severely burdened in trying to sustain everyone. Farms will be flooded, there will be no food.” (“Everything Relies on Everything Else….” The World Counts, TheWorldCounts, 2020, www.theworldcounts.com/stories/Impact-of-Ecosystem-Destruction.)
We quote again this key sentence from thecomingconvergence.com:
“The conclusions of The Coming Convergence explain both how the scenarios described within Revelation are converging before our very eyes and why everything that must come to pass is of man’s choosing.”
“In [the] 1968 film The Planet of the Apes, when Chartlon Heston’s character astronaut George Taylor finds the charred remnants of the Statue of Liberty, and with it the truth that this “aline” planet ruled by Apes is actually post-apocalyptic Earth, he screams:
“You finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up! … damn you! … damn you all to Hell!” (“The 30 Best Closing Lines in Films.” The Telegraph, Telegraph Media Group Limited, 28 Dec. 2018, www.telegraph.co.uk/films/2016/04/28/the-best-closing-lines-in-films/the-planet-of-the-apes.)
