COVID-19: What's Going to Happen to You?
(A Message to the Multitude)
(Preached Sunday Morning, April 26, 2020)
“And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, “If thou hadst knowen, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.”
(Luke 19:41-42)
As I said in “Global Unity, Global Judgement”, the message given last Sunday morning:
“Six million souls here, in Los Angeles, and oh, so many more throughout the world. As God once said,
“And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?” (Jonah 4:11)
I. COVID-19 is a prelude prompting you to make a decision!
“Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
“Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
“The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
“The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.”
(Joel 3:12-16)
II. COVID-19 is a prelude prompting you to act upon a decision!
“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)
III. COVID-19 is a prelude prompting you to do what must be done!
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
“And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
