“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

(Matthew 28:18)

Introduction

“And Jesus came…” (Matthew 28:18)

I. Jesus came and employed you!

“And Jesus came and spake unto them…” (Matthew 28:18)

  • “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.” (John 6:26-28)
  • “For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.” (Matthew 20:1)
  • “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4;19)

II. Jesus came and empowered you!

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me…” (Matthew 28:18)

  • “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)
  • “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” (Acts 4:33)

III. Jesus came and encompassed you!

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” (Matthew 28:18)

  • “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” (Revelation 1:18)

Conclusion: Jesus continues to embolden you!

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

  • “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” (Matthew 24:46)
