"Sent Letters"
(A Message to the Members)
(Preached Wednesday Evening, June 24, 2020)
“And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far.”
(Esther 9:20)
“And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far, to stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly, as the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.”
(Esther 9:20-22)
Mordecai is a type of Christ.
“For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.” (Esther 10:3)
“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34)
I. Letters sent by Jesus!
“And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far.” (Esther 9:20)
A. From his mind
“Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58)
B. From his memory
“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.” (Luke 10:18)
C. From his hand.
“And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.” (Exodus 31:18)
D. From his heart
“And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
“Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.” (Genesis 3:22-23)
II. Letters sent to you!
“And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far.” (Esther 9:20)
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16)
III. Letters sent throughout the world!
“And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far.” (Esther 9:20)
“Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” (2 Corinithians 3:3)

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” (Isaiah 61:1)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.” (Luke 4:18)
Conclusion:
look down at your Bible. Here they are! There they are. The letters from the hand and heart of God, that will turn you into the hand and heart of God; into a veritable letter written by our Savior, Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of Man, the Son of God, the Savior of the World. The sixty-six book of the Bible, from Gensis to Eshter, from Job to Jeremiah, to Malachi, to Matthew to Revelation, this is the empowered Word of God.
This is Christ!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” (John 1:1-2)
And you… Ye are, as it is written, “The Epistle of Christ.”
O’ thou salt of the earth, o’ thou light of the world, rise up and “Go!” The devil is a liar!! Lo, the Kingdom of God is within you!
