The Bush Still Burns!
(Mid-week message for House Church and individual use: preached 1/17 – 1/23/2021)
“And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.”
(Exodus 3:2)
Introduction
The bush still burns within!
I. With the true God!
“For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.” (Deuteronomy 4:24)
II. With the truly surrender people of God!
“Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.” (Jeremiah 20:9)
III. Upon those you have known and loved who are irreligious.
“Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven; and he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.” (Genesis 19:24-25)
IV. Upon those you have known and loved who are religious.
“And there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.” (Numbers 16:35)
V. Upon you if you are not being spit out of the mouth of Jesus.
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16)
VI. Upon everyone without Christ in eternity, forever, and ever, and ever!
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)
Conclusion
The time & organization you put into a product ordered from Amazon, versus the lack of time & organization you put into winning a soul for Christ.
