Thy Kingdom Come
(Mid-week message for House Church and individual use: preached 8/1 – 8/7/2021)
“Thy kingdom come.”
(Matthew 6:10)
(It is written. It is prayed.)
Introduction: This message is for you, the suffering serving saint of God.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” (Matthew 24:22)
- Nature destroyed: Environment > Entomology > Agriculture
- Society out of control: Economics > Anarchy > Famine > War
- The health of the world rapidly declining: Plagues New/Old > ready to be further spread in broken patterns of animals out of control, in a circle of life that has begun to cease revolving.
And so, we say it again: This message is for you, the suffering serving saint of God. This message is meant to make you look up!! While the world is looking all around, or burying its head in the sand… Look up!
“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,” (2 Thessalonians 1:7)
“Which also said, ‘Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)
I. “Thy Kingdom come!”
“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)
A. His Kingdom comes when we see “heaven opened.”
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” (Revelation 19:11)
B. His Kingdom comes when we return “with” him.
“…and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.” (Zechariah 14:5)

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10)

C. His will will be done with your personal support.
“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:6)
D. His will will be done with your personal enjoyment of him.
“When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.” (2 Thessalonians 1:10)
