“The House of Prayer”
(Mid-week message for House Church and individual use: preached 9/26 – 10/2/2021)
“And he taught, saying unto them, ‘Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Mark 11:17)
Introduction: Jesus’ goal must be our goal!
“And he taught, saying unto them, ‘Is it not written…” (Mark 11:17)
I. This was/is his goal.
“And he taught, saying unto them, ‘Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Mark 11:17)
- “My house shall be called the house of prayer… (Matthew 21:13)
- “My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer…” (Mark 11:17)
- “My house is the house of prayer…” (Luke 19:46)
II. This was not/is not his goal.
“And he taught, saying unto them, ‘Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Mark 11:17)
