The Upside Down Raindrop
(Sunday message for House Church and individual use: preached 12/19 – 12/26/2021)
“Upside down!”
“Upside down!”
“These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;”
(Acts 17:6b)
Introduction: Hear these statistics, these numbers, these facts as taken from the U.S. Census Bureau: Every second that passes by three more souls which cannot fly, fall down into the flames of Hell, and there they scream and there they yell… forever! Three… more… souls! Three… more… souls!
“And these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.” (Acts 17:6-7)
There is “another king!” In fact, as further revealed in the Word of God, there is only one true king! Satan? He has ruled as “the prince of this world” (a fake king). As it is written,
“The devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone.” (Revelation 20:10)
“Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:14)
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)
I. Your turn is coming! (Three turns!)
A. Your turn to die!
- “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” (Hebrews 9:27)
B. Your turn to burn “in Hell!”
- “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments,” (Luke 16:23a)
C. Your turn to be cast into “the Lake which burneth with fire and brimstone!”
- “…Shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8b)
How fitting that they bury you: for your soul is already there far down deep beneath! How fitting if they cremate you: for you are already in flames forever!
II. And the rain still keeps falling! (The three stages of the “many.”)
There are so “many!”
“So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;” (Hebrews 9:28a)
A. The time comes…
- “Then Jesus said unto them, ‘My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.” (John 7:6)
B. Your way opens…
- “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:” (Matthew 7:13)
C. And you will be falling in! (They all are there falling in!)
- “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Proverbs 14:12)
III. But look! There! Behold, there… the upside down raindrop!
A. Which way does he fall?
- “And the king said unto his servants, ‘Know ye not that there is a prince and a great man fallen this day in Israel?” (2 Samuel 3:37-39)
B. What is he looking at?
- “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Revelation 1:8)
C. Why isn’t he afraid?
- “For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” (Matthew 23:39)
D. Why is he so blessed?
- “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, ‘Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth:” (Revelation 14:13a)
Conclusion:
“And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.” (Acts 17:6-7)
- Turn it upside down! Every raindrop! Every teardrop! Every soul that can be won to the Lord Jesus Christ! Your soul! Your soul!
