Confusion Is at an End

(Sunday message for House Church and individual use: preached 10/3 – 10/9/2021)

“And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; and would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.”

(Mark 11:15-17)

Introduction: Jesus has “come” into your “Jerusalem!”

“And they come to Jerusalem…” (Mark 11:15)

I. Confusion is at an end, Jesus has gone “into the temple!”

“And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;” (Mark 11:15)

II. Confusion is at an end, Jesus has ended their carrying “through the temple!”

“And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.” (Mark 11:16)

III. Confusion is at an end, Jesus has revealed them to be “a den of thieves!”

“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Mark 11:17)

Conclusion: With only a week to be crucified, why did he do this?

“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” (Mark 11:17)
